CH Edition: byAMT Strap Planter
We collaborate with the multidisciplinary design studio to create this limited edition leather basket
We’re constantly adopting new plants at CH HQ, turning our office into an ever-growing indoor garden of sorts. So when we encountered byAMT‘s Leather Strap Planter at this year’s ICFF, our affinity for fauna naturally led to our collaboration with the NYC-based designer to create the CH Edition Strap Planter.
Our collaborative edition adds a dash of CH’s signature green paint to the straps of the natural, vegetable-tanned leather comprising the basket’s open-weave construction. Like all versions of byAMT’s clever strap design (which also includes a tote bag and basket), the planter is bound with copper-plated rivets and manufactured by LA’s Mimot Studio. A unique way to house botanicals, the minimal design complements a rustic setting, or adds a natural accent to the more modern habitat.
As steadfast fans of byAMT, we’re pleased to partner with the multidisciplinary studio on a concept that speaks to our mutual interest in products that are as subtly striking as they are long-lasting. Helmed by Alissia Melka-Teichroew, byAMT has risen to become a 360-degree resource for design innovation that truly encapsulates the Cool Hunting philosophy and vision.
