LA-based This is Ground makes leather goods for all your tech-related headaches and near-catastrophes; as they put it “creative solutions to everyday problems.” From leather cord “tacos” (designed to keep cords bunched together, but not tangled) to phone covers and iPad and laptop envelopes, the clever brand seems to make every conceivable accessory for every gadget—plus a few products you didn’t even know were necessary until laying eyes on them.
While the recently updated version of the company’s first product, Cordito was quick to catch our attention, the soon-to-come Cargito iPad case is really something special. Both products thrive from simple, logical designs that are beautifully rendered in soft napa leathers. Ideal for those who travel often—whether it be across town or across continents—the considered Cargito features specific pockets to hold business cards, a stylus and a built in battery capable of fully charging your iPad.
Soon to be available in two sizes (iPad Mini and iPad Air) and a range of natural and more eye-catching artificial colors, Cargito will launch 13 February through Kickstarter, selling online directly shortly after. All other This is Ground products, like the Cordito, are now available at their online store.
