Ice Pups

Tasty pet treats for the dog days of summer

icepups.jpg

You can love Ice Pups because the dry mix is well-designed—inexpensive to ship and easy to store, it makes either frozen treats or warm broth—or you can love it because of how convenient it makes whipping up all-natural treats for your dogs.

Lucy and Charlie Postins started The Honest Kitchen ten years ago, after looking for healthier food for their pets. They follow a simple practice—use only human-grade natural foods, prepare them in a commercial kitchen (not a pet food facility), and dehydrate the food for easy shipping and storing. They make Ice Pups, one of their newest products, from just a few familiar ingredients: Chicken, turkey, whey, dandelion, asparagus, watercress, honey and parsley. Mix a few spoonfuls in warm water as a tasty broth, or freeze in an ice cube tray. The frozen cubes make a fun and nutritious treat for hot days.
