Iceage teams up with Sky Ferreira, we premiere Hot Trash’s new song, a bop by Simian Mobile Disco and more in music

Simian Mobile Disco: Caught In A Wave

The song title really explains it all. Simian Mobile Disco’s latest track and music video, “Caught in a Wave,” ripples outward, ensnaring listeners and viewers. Here, the UK duo enlists the vocal talents of Hackney-based collective The Deep Throat Choir. In conjunction with the dance party visuals, it’s truly a work of splendor. The song will appear on the forthcoming LP Murmurations, out on 11 May.

Hot Trash: Blah Blah Blah

A comedic tussle with the role of social media in our everyday lives, “Blah Blah Blah” holds no punches as Hot Trash lead singer Rocco Gardner helps viewers laugh away the concept of likes and followers. Playful, pointed and an insightful look at the present day, the NSFW track and video feature a slew of cameo appearances and world-traveling cuts.

Iceage feat. Sky Ferreira: Pain Killer

Big and bold, “Pain Killer” knocks down walls to make way for new dimensions in the post-punk catalogue of Copenhagen quartet Iceage. It’s their first song ever to feature a guest vocalist, and Sky Ferreira does her part to underscore the track’s ambition. There’s so much force on display here and it’s nothing short of an organized storm of sound. Iceage’s fourth LP Beyondless releases on 4 May via Matador Records.

Mouse On Mars feat. Amanda Blank + Zach Condon: Foul Mouth

A study in genre collision, “Foul Mouth” by German duo Mouse On Mars—and featuring Beirut’s Zach Condon and Amanda Blank—activates some severe sensory stimulation. From murmurs and glitches to ethereal vocalization, the track is the most recent from the Dimensional People Part III debut LP. There’s harmony here, but it’s got an edge.
