Gorman + Camille Walala Collaboration

The prolific British artist teams up with the Australian label for a playful and colorful clothing range

Talented East London-based artist (and CH favorite) Camille Walala has just teamed up with another brand, for yet another colorful and spirited collaboration. This time, Walala has joined forces with Australian clothing label, Gorman—founded in 1999 and best known for its playful patterns and bold silhouettes—for an extensive apparel and accessories range. The two entities share a passion for bright colorways, pop-inspired patterns and geometric shapes—and the resulting collection is a win.

The Walala for Gorman range for the Southern Hemisphere’s current SS16 season—which includes everything from sandals to dresses to even a rash-vest—blends pastels with vivid hues and eye-catching patterns. The result is fun, a little daring, and just gaudy enough to make a splash.

Standout items include the Arcade Sandals which are available in black or white and are a take on a classic platform sandal, complete with removable geometric shape embellishments. Also worth highlighting is the cheeky Body Shapes sweater sporting a well-positioned circle and square; the Pencil Dress gives new life to the apron bodice—think less housewife and more party-ready cutie.

All Walala for Gorman pieces are available online now—though some of the sandals are for pre-order; prices start at $12 AUD. For a smaller bite of Walala, check out her recent nail sticker collaboration with French nail art brand alfa.k.
