Hamilton 1883 for Project Wooster
Old and new come together in a camouflage driven collaboration between two of menswear’s most respected names
As a well-known name in menswear, Nick Wooster has played an integral role in the camo comeback over the past few seasons. His contributions to menswear design have taken him from men’s fashion director for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman to a recent appointment as VP, brand, design and trend for menswear at JC Penney—and have even earned him a dedicated tumblr for his superior peacocking abiliites. Now, on the heels of numerous well-received collaborations under the Project Wooster helm, shirt-maker Hamilton 1883 has tapped Wooster for a collection now available exclusively through Park & Bond.
The strong six-shirt collection features five sportshirts and one flannel in stripes, chambray and, of course, plenty of camouflage. Each piece features unique features incorporated with the expert craftsmanship for which heritage-driven Hamilton 1883 is known. The Chambray Sportshirt, for example, features a snap-tab collar that Wooster feels “replaces the need for a tie bar; it keeps everything nice and clean.”
Wooster’s well-documented, mixed-print suiting ensembles may have served as inspiration for the bold fabric and pattern mash-ups on the Camouflage Sportshirt and Plaid Flannel Shirt. While the two stand out amongst the rest of the collection for their loud presentation, they back up the look with impeccable quality and feel.
While the collaboration collection is certainly not for the sartorially faint of heart, anyone with an eye for style can appreciate Wooster’s exuberant touch in the ever-evolving world of men’s fashion. The Hamilton 1883 for Project Wooster collection is now on sale directly through Park & Bond, with each garment selling for between $245-$265.
