Classics done extremely well are always welcome in the design world. Newly launched luxury streetwear label Prospekt Supply provides a strong showing with their debut product simply dubbed “No. 1 Windbreaker,” which is likely the highest quality piece of its kind on the market. Hand-sewn in Vancouver, BC with top materials meticulously sourced from around the world, the jacket not only exudes quality and craftsmanship, but the fit and styling are decidedly contemporary.

“Prospekt Supply’s initiative is to recreate the discerning consumer’s wardrobe with both simplicity and luxury,” says the brand’s creative director Andrew Joseph. “Our commitment is to quintessential pieces, uncompromising in design and quality.” For the pullover windbreaker, the design team revisited every detail and material. The technical exterior is sourced from Japan for its water resistance, breathability and comfort. Meanwhile, an American nylon interior is exceptionally soft and luxurious. The jacket’s sturdy top zipper, from Switzerland, was produced exclusively for Prospekt Supply. Even the drawstrings are made from a heavy waxed canvas, while the leather stoppers are hand-cut in New York. The front pocket (with an Italian-made zipper) has enough room for all of your daily essentials. Best of all, the jacket packs into its own pocket for easy storage when traveling.

Joseph—a Vancouver native now based in NYC—says he chose to manufacture in his hometown for both quality and the city’s climate: “No one knowns rainy weather better than Vancouver,” he says. With no corners cut and no detail left unnoticed, the brand’s inaugural offering balances luxury streetwear with a casual athletic aesthetic.

Prospekt Supply’s debut piece is available online for $250 and from select retailers around the world. Keep an eye out for the brand’s Spring 2014 capsule collection featuring three new pullovers in a range of materials and colorways.
