Thrift Deluxe is a contemporary and non-commercial DIY online resource that provides simple directions for inexpensive projects to make your own lamps, vases, bowls, belts, and more. I wish they had more projects, but a few of the ones they do have are very good. They've got a little key ranking projects by cost, time, and difficulty.
It was only a matter of time until this happened, and my guess is the iPod shuffle customization era is just getting into gear. ShuffleArt has Vinyl Sticker art you can easily apply on your iPod Shuffles, for sale, or the DIY method, download a template from this site and design your own.
