100% Design Tokyo

Victoria Milne shared some preliminary photos of 100% Design Tokyo with the good folks over at Core77. The exhibition, which kicked off today and will run until 6 November, features work from designers around the world. We're hoping there's some new local talent that will surface, however.

SAFE: Design Takes on Risk

MoMA's current lauded exhibition SAFE: Design Takes on Risk, brings a collection of objects to the MoMA Design Store that are as conceptual as they are useful, including the the original Champion Swiss Army knife (part of MoMA's permanent collection), a handbag that looks as if it contains a knife (pictured), and items from Kosuke Tsumura's Final Home line, like the 24-pocket nylon coat (pictured) …

Toytakeova

Toytakeova is an exhibition featuring 10 of Australia's top emerging artists. Presented as a toy store, the artists explore societal values, behavior, and relationships through toys and play. Each artist was invited to create or modify their own selection of childhood toys by drawing from memory and interpretation.
