The Venerable Bead Pendants

To assuage spring fever, The Venerable Bead's handmade glass pendants look like little Chrysanthemum blossoms in vibrant otherworldly colors. Artist Paula McDonough wrote us and pointed out that she makes them herself with Borosilicate (aka Pyrex) glass. Using a technique called "glass implosion," she heats the glass on one side causing it to "bloom" creating a one-of-a-kind floral pattern. Pendants cost $25 and are available …
