Among other finds in Rio were these simple, sensible, summer kicks. From what I could gather, they're made from hemp and have recycled rubber soles. I can't find any info about these through Adidas or the sneaker sites, so if you know their story please share.
Finally. A good looking hybrid. Fabrizio Giugiaro, son of famed automotive designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, joined Toyota to launch the Volta in Geneva earlier this month. The hybrid sports car is named for physicist Alessandro Volta who invented the battery. An appropriate honor considering the car's use of both battery and gas in order to be more efficient. review at auto123.com
