ICFF Preview: De Makers Van

Jeroen Verhoeven, Judith de Graauw and Joep Verhoeven started Studio De Makers Van after graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven (Netherlands). Living in a Box

Last year, German design firm Transalpin conceived a way to pass electricity through wood and named it Wood.e. The 12V current doesn't actually pass though the wood; there's conductive material layered in to the plywood. Blumen by Loop

Remember Blumen, uses electroluminescent display technology to create a decorative surface that reacts to its environment. The botanical pattern animates in a manner to suggest natural growth and is designed to be cut and constructed in a range of shapes and sizes.
