Burial: Rodent

Super-talented British producer Burial (aka William Emmanuel Bevan) just released a new track “Rodent” which is a little more uptempo than his usual offerings. Unlike some of his more atmospheric creations, this tune is a slow but steady burn, complete with haunting samples and a creepy vocal loop. The track will also be available on vinyl later this month.

The xx: On Hold (Jamie xx Remix)

The incredibly talented Jamie xx has taken the lead single from The xx’s latest album I See You and reworked it into a six-minute techno jam that’s made for the dance floor. With minimal vocals included, the “On Hold” remix seems to sample Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy” and certainly creates an ’80s rave party vibe.
