The incredibly talented Jamie xx has taken the lead single from The xx’s latest album I See You and reworked it into a six-minute techno jam that’s made for the dance floor. With minimal vocals included, the “On Hold” remix seems to sample Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy” and certainly creates an ’80s rave party vibe.
“Go!” from M83’s 2016 album Junk has just been remixed by Deakin from Animal Collective and it takes the already slightly oddball track featuring Mai Lan and creates an atmospheric, spacey soundscape.
