Gene Berdichevsky, co-founder and CEO of Oakland-based Sila Nanotechnologies, is working to power tomorrow’s vehicles. After moving on from engineering one of the first mass-produced lithium-ion batteries for cars, Berdichevsky (who has co-authored some 42 patents) hopes to improve battery density and ultimately lower their cost.
