Twin Shadow: Turn Me Up
In 2010 George Lewis Jr released his first album as Twin Shadow. Seemingly pulled out of the ’80s New Wave scene with startling accuracy, Lewis captivated audiences with his 2012 follow-up Confess, along with a string of noteworthy, memorable performances. “Turn Me Up” is Lewis’s first track in months after a brief hiatus. Continuing in the same synth-tinged vein, the new release feels somehow grander than previous efforts—more stadium anthem than basement bar. There’s no word on whether or not this song signals a new full-length release, but Lewis has rescheduled his world tour, starting spring 2015.
