Colorful, strange, charming and intriguing pieces from the fair

This year’s Frieze London was met with plenty of rain, but that did nothing to dissuade the crowds. The fair has long been held at Regent’s Park with an incredibly compelling exhibition of sculptures outside in the park, but the artworks inside the tents deserve recognition too. Perhaps surprising for those who have seen artist Emma Stern‘s work online, paint is omnipresent in her Brooklyn studio. Mac Demarco: Here Comes The Cowboy

Sparse and repetitive, though tender and altogether pretty, “Here Comes The Cowboy,” the first track off Mac Demarco’s album of the same name, ambles along, lulling the listener. The track’s sole lyrics, “Here comes the cowboy,” are repeated a dozen or so times, but viewers lose count when entranced by the song’s music video.
