Prismatics: Outside Looking

Missouri-based four-piece Prismatics returns with “Outside Looking,” a jangly post-punk track that’s turbo-charged by the otherworldly vocals of Brooke Austen. The single is the first from of their forthcoming sophomore release, Endlessly (out 15 January), which was recorded remotely in parts, due to COVID-19. A spooky black-and-white music video, which nods to horror classic Night of the Living Dead, aligns perfectly with the song’s energy.

A24 Horror Candle

To evoke the sensations of film’s most frightening genre—through scent—independent entertainment company A24 (beloved for releases like The Witch, Midsommar and Hereditary) collaborated with Brooklyn-based fragrance studio Joya on a “Horror” candle. This soy-wax blend candle exudes leathery notes for its more than 50-hour burn time. They went quickly after we wrote about them in 2018, but the collaboration returns Monday 12 October at noon EST.

Thom Yorke: Has Ended

“Has Ended” is the second single from Thom Yorke‘s soundtrack for Luca Guadagnino‘s remake of Dario Argento’s 1997 horror Suspiria.
