Assembled and finished in New York, Apparatus Studio’s Segment 6 dining table pairs a translucent resin base with brass hardware. A colored lacquer table top (here in oxblood, but also available in black, cinnabar, green and ivory) more than punctuates the piece—it toys with the idea of density and form. The surfaces are all lustrous, making the made-to-order work something quite extraordinary.

Twinflower Puppy Table

Cut from a single wood board, this sweet three-legged side table is reminiscent of a pooch’s figure—hence, of course, the name. Also functional as a stool, the table’s available in three sizes and six different colorways. It’s a sustainable piece of furniture that adds a little whimsy without becoming gimmicky—and it’s certainly requires less upkeep than a furry friend.
