If a baseball pitcher threw a 90-mph fastball at you, chances are you’d see nothing, but to a trained professional, each swirling pattern of red and white means something vastly different. To help those of us who aren’t pros, a Redditor created a small infographic detailing the small visual differences between a four-seam fastball, two-seam fastball, slider, curveball and change-up. While a few of the pitches have distinct characteristics, a four-seam fastball is basically a blur.
