Sigurd Larsen’s £95,000 Home
Berlin-based architect Sigurd Larsen has completed an 80-square-meter home for a three person family in Copenhagen for just £95,000. The single-story three-bedroom house, which is a prototype for future low-cost housing, features a rectangular floor plan, concrete base (which helps with heating and cooling), and a black-painted timber exterior. The design was able to take advantage of prefabricated materials and a minimal yet thoughtful design to hit its low-cost construction requirements.
