Cell Phone as Bank Card

Oki Electric and NTT Communications announced ATM that can be used by infrared port-equipped mobile devices. You'd think they would go Bluetooth, but actually IR is more secure because the device and the machine have to be so close– no risk of bluejacking your account information. While not a new idea, this is the first commercialization. With it, we're one step closer to the true digital wallet.
