Tesla’s New Powerwall
Electric auto company Tesla has just announced their latest innovation, and it’s not just for speed-fiends. The new product, called the Tesla Powerwall, is a 220-pound rectangular battery that can power your entire home by storing solar energy. With these battery packs, Tesla founder Elon Musk hopes to boost the amount of renewable energy in the US and possibly abroad, allowing people in developing countries to access electricity without relying on powerlines. Musk predicts that with the proliferation of these Powerwalls, the entire world could one day run completely on batteries.
