Catherine Coulson, Beloved Twin Peaks Log Lady, Has Died
Catherine Coulson, famous for her role as the beloved Log Lady in Twin Peaks, has died at the age of 71. Coulson—a longtime friend and collaborator of David Lynch—appeared in his short film The Amputee, worked as assistant director on Eraserhead and was set to reprise her role in the Twin Peaks revival series—although the extent of her involvement was unclear. She also appeared in several TV shows including Portlandia and Psych. In a statement regarding Coulson’s passing, Lynch stated, “Catherine was solid gold.”
