Guy Bourdin’s “Nature Magique” Book

A stunning, limited edition tome of the legendary photographer’s lush images

Legendary French photographer and painter Guy Bourdin has a body of work that’s taken on its own life since his passing in 1991. Bourdin’s style of provocative, sensual and cheeky images are at once familiar and engrossing, and a new, highly covetable book “Nature Magique“—published by Jane&Jeremy—explores the theme of nature through his extensive and lush images.

Transcending fashion photography and portraiture, Bourdin’s images straddle opposing moods and messages—from sexy to dark, glossy, hyper-real and fantastical. All the photos in “Nature Magique,” however, boast Bourdin’s imitable knack for timelessness.

Nature Magique” (available in an edition of 100) includes 33 images and a print stamped and numbered by The Guy Bourdin Estate. The book has been released to coincide with the retrospective of Bourdin’s work, called “Avant-Garde,” at Stockholm’s Fotografiska Museet, on now through 21 February, 2016.
