How to Sell a Banksy
If valuable street art is sitting in the public, is it OK to take and sell? This is the question that Chris Thompson asks in his documentary “How to Sell a Banksy.” After removing a popular graffiti piece by the world-famous street artist, Thompson sets out to unload the artwork for a hefty sum, losing himself to greed and obsession along the way. The film is an examination of the irony of the art world itself, and further proves Banksy’s position that art changes people—both those who create and consume it.
