Trade Airline Miles for Art with Exchange Works
Normally, Los Angeles-based organization Exchange Works matches artists with potential art buyers looking to purchase works through alternative means—including supplies, electronics, legal and financial services. But after realizing that many artists need to travel in order to exhibit or research, they’ve just launched their latest venture, called “Art for Miles,” which now makes it possible for anyone to trade airlines miles for original works of art. Photographer Daniela Kostova is currently offering her “Cosmonaut 1001” image for a round-trip ticket from NYC to Sofia, Bulgaria where she’ll be installing a new work.
