Wolfgang Tillmans: Manual
Manual, the newest monograph from London-based photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, is massive at just over 430 pages. Monumental in size as well as content, it’s the most comprehensive view of the artist’s work to date and features many previously unpublished works from the past five years.
Tillmans, who won the prestigious Turner Prize in 2000, uses the edition to highlight his own experimental approach to photography. He combines photographs with paintings, texts and newspaper articles. Also offering insight into his process, the book shows how the artist displays pictures on long tables in his studio while he preparing for an exhibition or a publication. See more images here.
