MoMA Design Store Spring/Summer 2010 Preview

Seasonally adding the latest in clever products to their existing lineup of covetable items keeps the MoMA Design Store fresh and their spring/summer 2010 preview proved as exciting as ever. Some of our favorite things from today's unveiling are highlighted below.

Chill Serving Platter
Designed by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, the melamine tray keeps foods cold with its removable frozen gel pad, which is inserted between the base and the porcelain platter. $135

Nooka Asset Organizer
Drawing upon their successful colorful and flexible watches, Nooka's Matthew Waldman designed durable silicone organizers that easily keep track of cards and cash. $35

Panier Table
A multi-functional piece of furniture, the Panier Table (left) designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Kartell quickly switches from a basket with transparent lid to a low table or magazine rack depending on need. $129

USB Rechargeable LED Light
Charged through any USB port, the versatile swivel-head LED light (right) can be used as a desk lamp or clipped onto a book. $28

Compact Body Scale
Just large enough to fit two feet, the compact portable body scale can be swiftly hidden and stored. The battery-operated LCD screen offers weight in kilograms, pounds or stones. $38

Blank Sectional Globe
Packed flat, the blank sectional globe (left) offers hours of endless coloring fun while simultaneously teaching kids geography. Once configured, the globe tilts at the exact angle of the earth's axis (23.4 degrees). $28

Mask' Animo
A simple craft project, Mask' Animo (right) from French label Mitik includes eight types of animal faces for children to paint and decorate. Perfect for play dates or inventing stories. $20

Alessi Chip Paperclip Holder
A charming desk accessory, Rodrigo Torres' magnetic bird design assumes an even more befitting shape with the addition of paperclips. Made from chrome-plated zamak, the bird can also be used as a paperweight. $57

Duster Bunny
A microfiber hand puppet, the duster bunny is actually a great cleaning device that removes dust and dirt from computer monitors, shelves and the like. Machine washable, the bunny can easily be used again and again, eliminating the need for excess paper towels. $16
