As spring finally graces the Northern Hemisphere with its presence, activity season is on. With the arrival of the new Iron & Resin collaboration with Vanson Leathers, this season means it’s time to bring your bike out of storage. The three-season Mojave Jacket is the product of two American brands with roots in the motorcycle community—though Iron & Resin’s may be young, they’re strong. The Barbour-esque jacket will not only look great while riding the train to the office, the 14-ounce waxed cotton canvas construction with articulated elbows and snap-closure cuffs ensures it will perform just as well.
Features also include a rear game pocket for storing gloves, a collar buckle for crisp mornings and a heavy duty two-way, brass front zipper (necessary for running cholo style to avoid bunching when in an aggressive riding stance). Each numbered, limited edition jacket is handmade one at a time in Vanson’s Fall River, Massachusetts factory. Currently available from Iron & Resin, the Mojave jacket sells for $495.
