RIP Bubble Wrap’s Bubbles

Forget smartphones, video games and television; the latest technological advancement to take away from millions of childhoods is the worst yet. Sealed Air Corporation—the original manufacturers of Bubble Wrap—will roll out an updated line of its beloved packing product that has no pop—called iBubble Wrap. The company has decided to get rid of the tiny bursting bubbles in favor of a stronger material and new design that will actually require a pump (which costs an astounding $5,500) to inflate as part of a massive brand revival. Gone are the days of squeezing, stomping and popping those tiny, precious bubbles.
