With special focus on kitchen utilities, this autumn’s Maison & Objet—the Parisian design trade show which ran from 6-10 September—offered simple innovations alongside more decadent wares. CH enthusiastically trawled through the vast array on display and found the Traveler Zita by environmentally responsible brand Finum to be a standout.

For drinkers of fresh herbal tea, Traveler Zita is the ideal companion when you’re on the move. The double-walled tumbler for cold and hot beverages is made from BPA-free Tritan and comes with a patented tea-control kit. This kit means users will avoid sipping tea that’s too weak or too strong, plus it saves on teabags. The Zita also allows for re-brewing of the tea leaves simply by adding hot water. With a colored lid that resembles a tea cup, the design of the tumbler evokes an impression of modernity, practicality and sustainability more than one of traditional high tea, but it’s these exact reasons the product won the Green Good Award in 2012.
