BADBADNOTGOOD + Ghostface Killah: Ray Gun ft. DOOM

On paper, a partnership between a Toronto-based jazz trio, a prominent member of Wu Tang Clan and one of hip-hop’s more mysterious MCs might not sound like the most natural of unions. However “Ray Gun” sees Ghostface Killah and DOOM spitting verses in top form over a full live instrument-backed beat from the increasingly sought after musicians of BADBADNOTGOOD. With an uptempo beat that calls to mind a film noir smoky back room, the track elucidates an alternative interpretation of hip-hop that deifies live music along with lyrics. The collaborative full-length Sour Soul from Ghostface and BadBadNotGood is set to drop 24 February 2015 on Lex Records.
