Each year around this time a sleepy mountain town in Oregon explodes with snow deprived youth with one thing on their mind: snowboarding. As the only lift-serviced ski field open year-round in North America, Mt. Hood hosts thousands of boarders each summer who’ve traveled far and wide for the chance to ride in 60+ degree weather with the world’s top pros. While it seems glamorous, the average lifestyle in Government Camp—which is really more of a glorified neighborhood than a town—is actually anything but. To celebrate the shadier side of summer living, ThirtyTwo recently released the Hood Rat collection, a series of soft goods adorning graphics designed by team rider Danny Larsen.
