NYC-based DJ outfit Chances With Wolves (CWW) has long been a CH favorite (check out their Fourth of July playlist from a few years ago) for their musical philosophy, encyclopedic knowledge of tunes, and personal positive vibes. Nothing, however, outshines the group’s inherent and genuine love for music. Today, CWW release a Nina Simone special set—on what would have been the singer/songwriter, musician and civil rights activist’s birthday. Simone impacted generations of musicians and audiences and CWW share some of these shining, powerful moments. The group has considered making a playlist for her birthday for the last eight years, “but each time, we hesitated because we really wanted to make it as good as it could possibly be. For some reason this year felt right,” CWW member Kenan Juska says.
