Ferrari 12Cilindri Tailor Made by COOL HUNTING: JaeEun “Jane” Lee
Together we shaped the narrative of the project, weaving Korea’s past, present and future into a supercar

JaeEun “Jane” Lee is a curator and director who currently operates between Korea and Europe. Before beginning her professional career, she double-majored in Economics and Fine Arts. Lee values this combination because art fosters her ambitious ideals while economics provides her with the realistic methods to achieve them. She fuses these two disciplines to conduct business in culture, arts and education.
For the Ferrari 12Cilindri Tailor Made project, Lee serves as our curator. A long-time extended member of COOL HUNTING’s team, she was invited to take on this role given her deep insights on the origins and expressions of contemporary Korean culture. Lee sees the car as a unique exhibition space or “gallery” distinct from the traditional white cube. She views the project as an installation where the artwork and unique space could merge under the theme “Inspired by Tradition, Powered by Innovation”.
Lee selected the participating artists based on their ability to represent the modern Korean spirit of “Pungnyu”—a concept regarding the appreciation of the arts and nature—and their openness to collaborating with different worldviews. Lee ensured that the artists’ visions were not compromised but were vividly expressed within the car to create a “group exhibition.”
As we celebrate the 23rd anniversary of COOL HUNTING, we’ve evolved from just sharing stories to creating things to tell stories about and the Ferrari 12Cilindri Tailor Made is our proudest achievement thus far. We’ve built a bridge between Korea and Italy, another between art and automotive and a third from past to future. Learn more about the project here.
