Mark Dean Veca
Mark Dean Veca did an installation and product series for Nike last December called Pulsation (pictured after the jump), which is how I first learned of his work. That project was pretty hot, but these two earlier paintings are among my favorites. There is No Spoon (above) and Good Bye Nail Fungus (below) marry classic 18th century French style with aggressive pop imagery. Can you say twisted toîle? Brilliant.
