Beautifully reconfigured text inspires a series of artist-designed wallpaper

A multi-faceted artist, one of Mark Fox‘s many talents includes reconstructing various religious and mythological texts into beautiful script arrangements. Recently gracing the cover of The National’s High Violet album, Fox’s delicate script sculptures are again reduced to the 2D format in an elegant range of wallpaper for Studio Printworks‘ Great Contemporary Artist series.

“Monstr,” his current solo exhibition at NYC’s Larissa Goldston Gallery, includes the “Phantom” and “Relics” wallpaper styles, blending seamlessly with his other works while holding their own distinct allure.

On view in gray and white color schemes, the wallpaper sells from Studio Printworks in various other colors for $300 a roll. See more images from the “Monstr” exhibition, running through 26 June 2010 in the gallery below.
