The Hill-Side SS13 Animated Lookbook
Blossoming neckties, swirling scarves and peeping pocket squares come out in GIFs
To accompany their just-released SS13 accessories collection, Brooklyn-based design outlet The Hill-Side created a dynamic lookbook of 10 cheeky gifs animating exploding neckties, swirling scarves and peeping pocket squares as their wearers try to sit still. The Hill-Side once again collaborated with director Alan Poon of interactive agency Folkloric to put together the pseudo-stop-action frames (Poon also directed their “How to Tie a Bowtie” instructional video). Mirroring the time and care that goes into creating each of their colorful accessories, the animated lookbook showcases the company’s greatest strength: their ability to marry refreshingly contemporary aesthetics with traditional techniques.
