Globe-Trotter x J. Crew Luggage

J. Crew has been making some surprisingly well-executed forays into the luxury market as of late and the latest such unexpected product is a collaboration with the British maker of hand-made traveling cases and trunks, Globe-Trotter. Though the New York-based clothier isn’t the first to team up with Globe-Trotter (see the Conran shop’s 2007 offering), their partnership goes further introducing a six-piece line of luggage in a gorgeous black and tan colorway with gold hardware.

We like the Globe-Trotter Centenary 21″ trolley case, retailing for $1,800, which like rest of the Globe-Trotter’s line, has been designed to withstand the weight of a one-ton elephant and the rigors of travel. Made in England, it’s available (along with the other pieces) in limited quantities from J. Crew.
