CH recently trekked over to the Bushwick neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY to visit the studio space of illustrator Rachel Levit. With strong influences from Mexican folk art, Levit has developed a distinct style of figure drawing that manages to capture the subtleties of human expression in just a few simple strokes. Recently working with alternative media like ceramics, she experiments in rendering the world around her through a lens containing darkly comical elements.
