DODOcase LeatherCraft Collection
The newly launched line features classic designs with American-made, rugged leather for stowing your devices
The traditionally minded craftsmen of San Francisco’s DODOcase (known for their quality phone and tablet cases) have just released their latest, handsome four-piece series, the LeatherCraft Collection. For these entirely handmade cases, DODOcase employed the highest quality leather from Milwaukee’s Thiele Tanning Company, an 80-year-old company producing some of the best leather in the country. Known as Logger’s Leather, the material used in DODOcase’s new collection is the same used for logging boots. The collection includes classic designs, built for simple functionality; with oil-tanned leather balancing durability and a beautiful softness. Each piece is sure to age well with daily use, while maintaining the gentle texture of well-priced, handworked leather.
The range is rounded out by antique brass hardware with expert finishes, lending to an overall rugged luxury experience. The four new products are the Leather Tablet Portfolio, Leather Card & Cash Wallet, Leather & Brass Key Ring and our personal favorite: the Leather & Canvas Phone Clutch.
The phone clutch fits everything from an iPhone to encased Samsung phones, all with room to spare for cash, cards and any other odds and ends you might not want to jam into your pockets. The flat envelope-shaped pouch comes in both a natural canvas and brown leather colorway, or a midnight black canvas and brown leather version. There’s an organizational webbing inside that allows for stowing away money and keys. The clean design features no metal on the outside, but incorporates an antique brass snap-closure internally, just inside the oil-tanned leather envelope flap. The waxed canvas exterior adds further stylistic embellishments while contributing to the overall durability. It’s a beautiful addition to the DODOcase catalogue, reflecting their core values of longterm use, superior source materials and the idea that classics truly punctuate modern day living.
