Bulletproofing for Buildings

Saab Group, a Swedish aerospace and defense company (not the motor company), has developed a new technology to bulletproof buildings and possibly vehicles. The system is dubbed “Soft Armour,” and it basically involves large, modular boxes filled with something similar to ceramic marbles that absorb amor-piercing rounds without ricocheting or penetration. The nature of the boxes allows them to be easily stacked, and they can be built into new structures or retrofitted into old ones.
