Jamie xx: Gosh (dir. by Romain Gavras)

Jamie xx never disappoints. His epic track “Gosh,” off of his 2015 album In Colour, first debuted alongside a set of images from NASA/JPL. Now, a new deep and intense music video (directed by Romain Gavras, whose resumé includes work for MIA, Kanye West, Justice) provides spookily mesmerizing complement. Starring Hassan Kone, the video is set in Tianducheng, China—a luxury development mostly gone abandoned, where a rusty replica of the Eiffel Tower looms—and has a distinctly dystopian vibe. At the same time, this ghostly atmosphere is beautiful, with incredible choreography, marching and breathtaking shots across the five-minute mini-film.
