A retro-tinged tune by Lion Babe, new video by Stormzy and more in our weekly round-up

Lion Babe feat. Moe Moks: Rockets

Lion Babe (aka Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman) have teamed up with Moe Moks in order to add some Caribbean vibes to their cruise-y, ’70s-tinged tune “Rockets.” With lyrics that name check Chaka Khan, Cleopatra, NASA and more, the song is heavy on the flute riffs and glittery, jazzy percussion. This is the first track from their upcoming EP, which is due out in spring.

Snow Culture: No Sleep

With their dancey debut single “No Sleep,” Swedish duo Snow Culture deliver lofty vocals floating along a dark but lively beat. Premiering with a collage-like music video of grit and grain, the track’s dynamic production and electronic essence makes it a great fit for everything from headphones to a surging, late-night dance floor.

Stormzy: Big For Your Boots

British grime/hip-hop artist Stormzy has just released a much-anticipated track from his upcoming album Gang Signs & Prayer, set for release later this month. The song, “Big For Your Boots” is full of the 23-year-old’s clever wordplay and references everything from Moncler to Adele and Amy Winehouse—all over a gyrating and addictive beat. The accompanying video sees Stormzy hanging out at various London spots with the likes of Beats 1 DJ Julie Adenuga, Vicky Grout and Maya Jama.

Ghost King: Melting Sky

From Brooklyn rockers Ghost King comes a macabre visual treatment for their recent track “Melting Sky.” What commences as an eerie party scene with clandestine glances, evolves into a raucous, ritualistic fantasy supported by churning guitars and an indie-psychedelia blend. Ghost King has a few upcoming NYC-area shows.
