Publish Hers SS16

The Californian clothing brand finally offers their first full womenswear collection

Huntington Beach, CA’s Publish Brand turns six this year and—finally—women get their own, full collection of apparel this spring season. Though their

cult jogger pants have been tweaked to flatter the female silhouette, Publish Hers is the first time ladies can peruse pieces to complement their comfy yet sophisticated pants. There are some tempting pieces: potassium stone wash stretch knit joggers, a half-sleeve dress that just grazes the top of the thighs, a premium jersey tee with double short sleeves and a longer back. Basics, but not basic.

“We’ve been studying the waves of womenswear over the past five years,” Alex James, Publish Brand Director, tells CH. “On a global scale, women are affected by men’s modern fashion scene and vice versa as the lines blur between traditional gender-based dress codes. This current state of fashion is very adventurous and equally androgynous. Publish wanted to tap into this intersection of street and contemporary by creating a collection that was appealing to women while embracing our own aesthetic. This concept is very prevalent in some of our crossover silhouettes like our button-down shirts and jogger pant variations.”

The collection, named “The Daydreamer,” drops today, online at Publish, where they’ve also updated their men’s line-up with technical-influenced pieces perfect for transitional weather. There’s free shipping on all domestic orders (no minimum) for the next two weeks with code PBHERSFREESHIP.
