Travel—whether by land, sky or sea—effects your body in countless ways, from stress and anxiety, to blood-flow, oxygen levels and hydration. For this reason—and for carry-on and space restrictions—our grooming and beauty routines change a little when we’re on the go. Whether you’re looking to take control of your emotions, scent profile or cleanliness, the following selections offer a wide range of benefits—and they’re all small enough to fit in your carry-on.

Stellar Shave Cream

Ursa Major (CH favorites and makers of high-quality grooming and wellness goods) makes their Stellar Shave Cream ($14) from aloe, willow bark, sunflower, birch sap, shea and oat protein. In fact, 98.6% of this nourishing potion’s ingredients are naturally derived. They are carefully formulated to soothe, hydrate and cushion against razor burn. With tantalizing hints of ginger, grapefruit and bergamot, this cream will refresh your skin when it’s needed most.

Ginger Flight Therapy

To ease the jitters that come with flying—and traveling in general—Aesop developed a pulse-point potion (with ginger root, lavender and geranium) that rolls on to quickly encourage a sense of calm. The Ginger Flight Therapy ($31) is to be rolled directly onto the neck, temples, wrist and abdomen during times of stress or nausea. Its aroma and calming qualities (thanks mostly to the lavender) will ease—but the fragrance isn’t so strong that those around you will be effected.

Phoenix Regenerating Oil

Made with all-natural ingredients, Herbivore’s mini face oil set ($49) is ideal for traveling—thanks especially to the rehydrating and restorative Phoenix iteration. Unlike many face oils, it’s absorbed into the skin quickly—leaving no thick, greasy residue. Each of the oils is natural, vegan, and cruelty-free—and there are no fragrances or dyes added. With light and natural scents, these serums also won’t overwhelm fellow travelers if you apply while in transit.

Rosie Perfume

Well under the carry-on restrictions, By Rosie Jane’s travel-sized rose perfume is 7.5mls of fragrance, housed in a clear glass pump-spray bottle. The classic rose scent is floral, but not overly sweet, and inspired by wintertime. With notes of vanilla and musk, it’s perfect for a quick refresh between flights. Additionally, this perfume is phthalate-, paraben-, and cruelty-free, vegan and packaged in 100% recyclable materials.

Milky Jelly Cleanser

Also available in full-size, Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser ($9) can—very conveniently—be used on wet or dry skin, and is free of soaps, parabens, and sulfates. Its 60ml bottle means it’s airplane-friendly, and the gel-like texture makes it less messy to use while on the go. Made with soothing rosewater and comfrey root extract (which heals dry skin), it’s hypoallergenic and safe for almost all skin types.

Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial

Made for people on the go, REN’s Clean Skincare Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial ($48) can fit into almost any schedule. Simply apply to freshly clean and dry skin, massage, let sit for a minute, then wash off. The process couldn’t be easier, but the end result is luminous and nourished skin. Natural healers like coconut, orange flower oil and yeast extract make up the base of the facial’s formula, helping to refresh and revitalize. It can also help to even out skin tone, which can often be effected during air travel.

Osmia Lip Doctor

Designed specifically for sensitive skin, Osmia’s lush, certified organic Lip Doctor ($12) balm is crafted using just six pure ingredients—lavender-infused olive oil, avocado oil, cocoa seed butter, beeswax, argan oil and candelilla wax. These rich, all-natural ingredients instantly soothe and heal chapped, dry and damaged lips. The rich texture avoids being sticky (thanks to the oils providing its glide) or watery, and can be worn underneath glosses or lipsticks.
