A British petition calling for a ban on a ludicrous office rule requiring women to wear heels has hit 150,000+ signatures in just a couple days. Nicole Thorp started the petition after she was sent home for refusing to wear shoes with two- to four-inch heels at work. The overwhelming response will now require Parliament to respond to the petition and to debate the rule. “I hope it makes women aware that they don’t have to sit and take something just because they are a woman. Every message just makes me a little more determined,” said Thorp. Head to BBC to read more.
