Today, Stockholm-based underwear experts CDLP—famous for perfecting the juxtaposition of Swedish design and Portuguese craftsmanship—launches a limited edition line of velvet and nylon swimwear in a campaign fronted by Jay Alvarrez and shot by CDLP’s co-founder and filmmaker, Christian Larson. Alvarrez can be seen posing nonchalantly, with the same vibe that CDLP draws inspiration from, on the rocky coast of Ibiza.
The release marks the brand’s first attempt at apparel outside of undergarments–their socks, long-johns, and underwear garnered high praise across the industry. Today’s drop is expected to draw similar interest; limited quantities and high-quality construction—side-pockets, a credit card holder, and an internal rubber drying hook—will be selling points for loyal wearers and first-timers alike.
The Nylon Swim Shorts ($140) come in Army Green and Black colorways; while the Velvet Pool Shorts ($210) will be exclusively available in a sheen, black hue. They’re both available now on CDLP’s site.
