Light paintings are commonplace in the field of long exposure night photography, but filmmaker Daniel Barreto has found a way to take it in a completely new direction. In his film “Ignite,” Barreto combines long exposure photos with LEDs, stop-motion film and time-lapse photography to create a completely analog short film. Bursts of neon lights ooze, jump and dance around the woods while daunting electronic music blares in the background. Watch the full video at Colossal.
